Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for considering Trinity Catholic College for your child’s Secondary education.

At Trinity Catholic College our vision is to be a genuinely Catholic community of parents, students, teachers and parishes working in partnership to ensure that our students are safe, happy, well taught and learn to know and love Jesus and live by His values in the Marist way. Building on a history of providing a quality Catholic education in our local area since 1893, Trinity Catholic College is genuinely Catholic and proudly Marist, embracing St. Marcellin Champagnat’s mission to make Jesus Christ known and loved. Our community is committed to excellence in learning and teaching in our contemporary world and our consistently strong academic results speak for themselves.

Our principles of learning and teaching capture our belief that quality student learning is motivating, deep, communal and contextualised. It is our intention that our students are hopeful, engaged, resourceful and disciplined. It is these aims that inform our daily work.

The quality care we provide in the Trinity community begins with the provision of a dual campus environment. With our specialist middle school campus, we ensure that students have an effective transition to high school in a happy and safe environment, in the company of young people their own age. Our teachers at the Regents Park campus specialise in teaching Year 7 and 8 and are expert in meeting the needs of young people aged between 11 and 14. The educational co-curricular opportunities provided for all students are outstanding and further enrich our Catholic learning community.

Once again, thank you for considering Trinity Catholic College for your child’s further education.

Mr Daniel Delmage

Trinity College Auburn

Trinity College AuburnHistory
Trinity Catholic College is part of the Australian network of Marist schools and has been characterised by a specific Marist spirit, charism and tradition, showing:

  • A devotion to Mary, mother of Jesus
  • A school climate based on the family spirit
  • A love of work
  • A strong sense of the presence of God and of our own presence to one another
  • An emphasis on simplicity
  • A commitment to empower young people and to give ordinary students from ordinary families a better chance in life.

Our Charism
The Marist Brothers have been associated with education at Auburn since 1942. When Trinity Catholic College commenced in 1995, a Marist Brother was appointed Principal and an onsite community of Brothers ministered to the school.

The college is part of the Australian Network of Marist Schools with its staff and students participating in a number of Marist sponsored activities.

Our Patron Saints

St Marcellin Chamagnat
Fr Marcelllin Champagnat, a French peasant priest, took on an enormous challenge. Moved by the plight of the youth in post-revolutionary France, he responded dynamically by founding a congregation of teaching Brothers. With faith in God and convinced that Mary ‘Our Good Mother’ was guiding the work, he taught, trained, formed and enthused these first Brothers.

Marcellin passed on to these Brothers his spirituality, and his vision of education. Marist Brothers now work in some eighty countries around the world. The mission of Marist educators is to be among the young, sowing the Good News, with a “distinctive Marist style”: with simplicity, presence, family spirit, love of work, and in the way of Mary. On April 18th 1999, Marcellin Champagnat was canonised a Saint.

St Mary MacKillop
Mary was born in Melbourne in 1842 and trained as a governess. She soon realised the enormous problems that faced the poor children in remote rural areas. She, along with Fr. Tenison-Woods, founded the Sisters of St Joseph, a congregation of religious women devoted to education.

Mary’s Sisters soon became well known for the quality of the schools that they founded and their willingness to work in remote areas with the most disadvantaged youth. Mary was beatified in Sydney by Pope John Paul II in 1995, becoming the first Australian to be called Blessed and in 2010 Mary MacKillop was canonised a Saint by Pope Benedict XVI.

Trinity College AuburnOur Vision
To be a genuinely Catholic community of parents, students, teachers and parishes working in partnership to ensure that our students are safe, happy, well taught and learn to love Jesus and to live by his values in the Marist way.

Our Mission
To provide a safe environment by establishing a clear sense of order and purpose, and a disciplined climate which ensures the well-being of everyone in the college community.

To foster a happy environment by promoting acceptance, belonging and pride in one’s self and the college with a continual emphasis on highlighting the positive.

To encourage a climate in which students are challenged to reach their academic potential, are engaged in their learning and have the opportunity to be involved in appropriate extra-curricular activities to develop their talent.

The name ‘Trinity’ reflects the God we know as ‘Father, Son and Holy Spirit’. This crest commits us to words and actions, which are consistent with the values of Jesus Christ and in the best interests of all Australians.

FAITH – Provides a distinctly Catholic education in the Marist Tradition, nurturing the faith of all students
