Students at Trinity Catholic College are encouraged and taught how to to contribute their ideas, perspectives and feedback so that, working together, we can continually strengthen and develop our faith filled, nurturing and high achieving Catholic school community.
At Trinity, we aim to encourage excellence, curiosity, self-confidence and a strong commitment to social justice in all of our students as we support parents and carers in preparing young people to actively participate in the full life of the adult community.
Our students take part in regular group and class discussions in both pastoral care and academic lessons, focus groups, surveys and structured feedback sessions to share their ideas, initiatives and responses across the full range of college life, including teaching and classroom learning, wellbeing, the use of ICT, sports, cultural and social activities, vocational education and preparation for later life. The aim is to continually improve each student’s experience of school, to encourage a love of learning and each student’s pursuit of personal excellence in their learning and aspirations.
Our Student Representative Council plays a special role in bringing forward student voice, consulting with their peers across both campuses to gauge responses to current initiatives and to present fresh ideas. The SRC models and promotes the values of the College and takes responsibility for initiating and running many activities throughout the year to enliven the engagement, success and enjoyment of all of our students in their education.
